Clutched protectively at its side, the smaller, darker cub, with patches of lighter fur, also tilts its head towards an unseen spectacle - evoking the ethereal dance of the Aurora Borealis, a beacon of hope against the encroaching darkness.

The Raku firing process itself, characterized by its dramatic and unpredictable crackle glaze, serves as a powerful metaphor for the fragility of the polar bear's environment. The intense heat followed by rapid cooling and smoking creates unique, web-like patterns on the surface, visually linking the delicate balance of the firing to the precarious nature of the polar ice caps.
